Lasting Ever

DAY 5 OF 5

YOU ARE LOVED

I (Rebecca) have a song called “You Are Loved” that says, “this is what I want to say to you if I had one chance to speak to your heart, you are loved more than you could ever know.” As we bring these devotionals to a close, I am singing this over you. We pray that, if you ever feel (as at times we have) like you must climb your mountains by yourself, you will realize that you are never, ever alone. You have been found by God’s true love. A love that will never leave.

Because God’s character is lasting ever, we can know for certain:

• We are SEEN in the secret places of our lives and pain (Psalm 139).

• God has HEARD every prayerful longing of our heart and will answer in His time. Until then and ongoing, He offers Himself as more than enough (1 John 5:14-15).

• When we’re HELD by God, He’s not holding us back but is setting us free and offering His comfort (Psalm 63:8).

• We are intimately KNOWN by God. Even with our imperfections and wrestling during suffering seasons, He cares for us and chooses us as His sons and daughters (Jeremiah 1:5).

• We are LOVED . . .

In every moment of our lives, we are truly and deeply LOVED and never alone. God partners with us and leads us by the hand into the unknown, wanting us to know that together with Him, we can face anything.

We urge you to hear you are truly loved by God and believe it, not because it sounds pretty, but because you need to know that even in great hardship, He is working on your behalf. Sometimes holy things are hard things, but if you choose to dig your feet into the solid foundation of Jesus Christ, you won’t be moved.

The clouds will part. Dawn will break. And you will see His goodness, kindness, and glory.

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” (1 John 3:1).

God’s love for you is lasting ever. Let that truly sink in! So keep going and fighting for your faith and relationships. Don’t give up!

Go in the lasting ever peace and grace of our loving Father and Savior.

Day 4

About this Plan

Lasting Ever

Most of us long for the fairy tale, the “happily ever after,” love everlasting. But then, life happens. Husband-and-wife team Rebecca St. James and Cubbie Fink have learned that the secret of lasting, in faith and in family life, is choosing to endure together, through the challenges and joys of our lives.
