This Was The Lord's Doing, And It Is Marvelous In Our Eyes!
Jesus taught one of His most pointed parables against the Scribes and Pharisees in the parable of the vineyard. The servants that were sent to hold the husbandmen accountable represented God's prophets who were beaten and killed. The God finally sent his son, who is Jesus. In his parable, the son is killed and cast out so that they could take his inheritance. By this he prophesied his death and also the motive of the Scribes and Pharisees. Verse 12 says: And they sought to lay hold on him, but feared the people: for they knew that he had spoken the parable against them: and they left him, and went their way. What is amazing here is that they understood the parable. They knew it was referring to them. They knew who He was, and yet there was no repentance in them. They still rejected God.
The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner: This was the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes.
Ask the Lord to keep your heart tender to His Word and His will. May we never miss what marvelous thing the Lord is doing, and may we never reject what He wants to do in our lives!
