Journey With Jesus 365ნიმუში

Jesus was infamous to the Pharisees because He spoke the truth, which often made them look bad. He made them see themselves for who they really were. They were just as sinful as the people around them, and they did not want to admit it. Over and over again, Jesus tried to convince the Jews that He was the Messiah, the light of the world. Only the people who were genuinely searching to know God understood His Words. When Jesus called himself, “I am” claiming his equality with God, the Pharisees tried to stone Him.
We often struggle with the truth. We do not like to be told that we are wrong, and often lash out at those who tell us we are. It takes humility to allow God to work in our lives.
How do you react when someone, or God’s Word confronts you with sin in your life? Do you get angry and defensive, or humbly accept the truth, asking for God’s help to change?
Do you speak the truth in love to others? Do you receive criticism well?
