Let’s be real—following God into the unknown can be intimidating. Fear and doubt have a sneaky way of showing up uninvited, don’t they?

Maybe you’re worried you’re not good enough, or maybe you’re thinking, “What if I fail?”

Well, you are in good company because even Joshua needed a pep talk and he was about to lead an entire nation!

God’s message to Joshua is the same for us: Be strong and courageous.

Not because we’ve got it all figured out but because He’s with us every step of the way. He promised He’d never (that’s right, NEVER) leave us or forsake us.

And in Deuteronomy, God says He’ll even go before us! He is actually the pioneer preparing the way for us to walk in.

He is author and the finisher of our faith. That means that when He puts something in you to carry out, He’ll make sure it gets finished, too. You can lean on and rely on Him.

When we focus our attention on Him, our problems, insecurities, etc., get smaller and smaller. Because HE is so much bigger than them. So fix your eyes on Jesus. He will never let you down.

Prayer:

Lord, You know the doubts and fears that swirl around in my head. Sometimes, they get so loud that I forget. You’re right there with me. Please give me the courage to push past them, to turn away from them, and to look to You. Remind me that You go before me, and You are by my side, so I can tackle whatever comes my way.
