Be for Real

DAY 15 OF 28

(VIDEO TRANSCRIPT BELOW)

Have you ever been in a situation where it’s tough to know what’s right? Living in exile in Babylon, Daniel found himself in a culture that had different customs and practices than his own and felt pressured to conform to new customs, including things that went against his faith. His decision here wasn’t just about food but about staying true to what he believed was the most honorable to God and himself.

Integrity sometimes involves making choices that make us feel set apart, but it’s not about whether we are choosing a popular or unpopular opinion. It’s about living by values that reflect and honor who we are. Like Daniel, we should want to try to live with integrity, even when it’s challenging.

Today, when faced with a decision, ask yourself, “What does it look like for me to respond in a way that honors God and myself?”
