The Road Less Travelled

Life is a daring adventure, but most people take the path of security and certainty. All the promises of God require faith. Our goal is not to arrive safely at death; the grave benefits nothing from the unfulfilled promises of God in our lives. The difference in men is not really much about wits, talents, and gifts; we all have a measure of that. It's the willingness to dare and the courage to take those leaps of faith. Faith requires risking God's reputation on things destined to fail without divine intervention.

Faith is the journey of the road less travelled. The Bible encourage us to follow those who through faith and patience have obtained the promise. Heb 6:12. Faith is bold and audacious. It is daring. Faith can be many things, but it's not blind optimism. We substantiate what we believe by the integrity of the Word of God and an unshakable trust in Him.

If we don't put ourselves in scenarios or circumstances where faith is needed, we won't experience the supernatural. It is not enough to live just within the boundaries of our capacity. We have to dare big things.

The demonstration or expression of faith requires wisdom and God's leading. There's a fine line between faith and foolishness. God won't commit to what he has not commanded. Everything we do in the name of faith has to be within the boundaries of God's leading and divine prompting. Proverbs 19:3 "The foolishness of man undermines his way [ruining whatever he undertakes]; Then his heart is resentful and rages against the LORD [for, being a fool, he blames the LORD instead of himself]."

The Israelites continually looked for miracles to believe; that's logic, not faith. Faith sometimes defies logic. Faith is not predictive probabilities; it is an assurance and knowing that God will never fail.

Sometimes, you have to look at those situations and circumstances straight in the eyes and say, you know what; do your worst. I am taking my stand, and my God got this. Faith is audacious. Esther said the same to Modecai“ Go and get all the Jews living in Susa together. Fast for me. Don’t eat or drink for three days, either day or night. I and my maids will fast with you. If you will do this, I’ll go to the king, even though it’s forbidden. If I die, I die.” Esther 4:15-16.

You have to draw the line. No more going through life fearful and anxious, worrying and doubting. You've got to believe that with God, nothing is impossible.
