STREETLIGHTS' Advent Plan

DAY 1 OF 23

“The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light”

As we enter Advent, we remember that God’s light breaks into our darkness. Isaiah 9:2-7 tells of a powerful promise—light piercing the shadows, hope pushing back fear.

In a world marked by strife, this passage speaks of the One who would come to be the Prince of Peace, the Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God.

This isn’t just a comforting message; it’s a declaration of God’s unstoppable plan. Jesus didn’t come to bring temporary relief — He came to establish an eternal kingdom, one of justice and righteousness that would stand forever. He came to fulfill God’s promises and to offer us the light of life.

As we journey through Advent, let Isaiah’s words remind us that Jesus is not only the light in our darkness, but He is the King who reigns with hope, love, and power.

Think & Pray: Where do we need to see Jesus' light in our lives? How can we share that light with others around us?
