The ABCs of Faith

DAY 3 OF 26

C

is for the CROSS!

I’m sure you have seen images of the cross at Calvary. Maybe you've seen the cross at Easter time.

But do you know what the cross actually means?

Do you know what Jesus had to go through on the cross so that you and I might be saved?

I say "might be saved" because every person must choose to follow Jesus. We live a life full of choices, but one of the most important choices we get to make (in my opinion) is to say "Yes" to Jesus!

Jesus paid the price for our sins on the cross so that we could live a blessed life.

Jesus paid in full the ransom for our lives to be saved.

Jesus bore the curse even though He was sinless so that we wouldn’t have to.

Jesus willingly laid down His life for you and me, even knowing it would be some of the most difficult moments in His life.

Jesus was brutally beaten with a whip of leather straps embedded with metal (John 19)

Jesus was stripped of His clothing, made fun of, mocked, spat on, and had a scarlet robe put on Him along with a crown of thorns forcefully shoved into His head (Matthew 27).

He went to hell and took the keys from Satan so that we could live in The Blessing for all eternity.

When you think of the cross or look at a cross, I want you to feel the LOVE that God has for you.

Because of that deep love, Jesus went to the cross to endure what needed to be done so that you could be saved.

The cross is not about Easter (look up Easter Origin, Pagan Holiday) and the Easter bunny.

It is ALL about Jesus and what He did for us!

He sent His One and Only Son to be crucified as the spotless Lamb in our place (fulfilling the law).

I want you to know that there isn’t anything God wouldn’t do for you.

He has already done it all.

You just have to receive The Blessing into your life.

Receive all Jesus did for you on the cross!

(For more reading: Matthew 27)

DECLARATION

I receive everything the cross provides for my life! As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!

QUESTION

Did you know that Easter was originated as a Pagen Holiday?

Knowing now what the cross means, how do you view it differently?
