The Covenant Relationship of Marriageნიმუში

Reverential Treatment
The wife is called to reverence her husband. Reverence is to regard or treat with deep respect. She appreciates, honors, trusts her husband just as the Church does Christ for all he has done and continues to do. The wife holds her husband in high regard and does not bring shame to his name or belittle him and his contribution to the marriage. The call to submit, love and reverence are all in alignment with the relationship of Christ and His Church. Marriage was designed by God as a Holy Union. No marriage is complete without Him!

About this Plan

Scripture parallels the relationship of Christ and His Church, to the marriage union showing us the strength of covenant relationship. Jesus submitted to the will of the Father and demonstrated His love for the Church when He laid down His life. Marriage is a covenant that calls for the couple to relate to one another as exemplified by Jesus. This 3-day plan by Donna Templeton addresses some very necessary relational aspects of marriage.
