21-Day Fast & Prayer Into & Through Your Next Season

DAY 3 OF 21

Have you ever felt that little voice inside you, telling you to do something? But instead of following that voice, you chose another way because you thought it was better? Trust me, I've been there too. I've taken shortcuts, ignored those gentle nudges, and even flat-out disobeyed because I thought I knew better. But you know what happened? It only delayed my purpose by years!

Let me share something with you. For a long time, I ignored fasting. I thought, "Why bother? Can't I just pray instead?" But you know what? Jesus doesn't say "if" you fast, He says "when" you fast. So it's clear, we are meant to fast. When we neglect fasting or see it as just an option, we're actually behaving in a self-sufficient and prideful way.

When Ezra called for the fast, He knew that they couldn't accomplish their mission without God's help. He understood that they needed to humble themselves and seek God for guidance and protection on their journey.

Jesus fasted leading up to the crucification for 40 days and 40 nights!

So, then, I ask you this: Will you humble yourself before the Lord through this fast? Today, take a moment, listen to that tug on your heart to let go of pride. Trust that when you surrender and seek God's guidance, amazing things will happen. Don't delay your purpose any longer. Embrace humility and let your true journey begin.

Prayer: Lord, I come before You with a humble heart, acknowledging my need for You. Help me to let go of pride and self-sufficiency and rely on Your strength. Lead me to take faithful actions that align with Your will. Thank You for Your grace and favor upon my life. Redeem me and my circumstances for Your glory. In Jesus' name, Amen.
