LABOURING FOR GOD'S BLESSING, NOT RICHES

The motivation of a child of God is to labour to be blessed and not to be rich. A man can be rich without being blessed, but a man cannot be blessed without being rich. As a child of God, this is what you must settle for – that what you are pouring yourself into and giving yourself to must not be to acquire wealth as unbelievers do.

As His child, one important thing that God wants you to get a hold of is to get your philosophies right before you begin to pursue things. One of the purposes of God for raising us in homes is to give us the right philosophies of life. If you grew up in a good family, whether your father was wealthy or not if he understood his responsibility and took care of your basic needs at home, one of the first things you would have is a wholesome relationship with money. If, however, you come from a home where there is a lack and your father did not perform his responsibilities, you will tend to have a wrong philosophy about money.

Such people think that money answers all things, and they will look for it. People with this kind of wrong philosophy of life often assume that everybody worships money. However, by developing a good relationship with the Word of God, errors such as this can be corrected in people’s lives, and they will become transformed into the divine mindset by exposing themselves to God’s thoughts.

Prayer: Dear Lord, deliver me from every vain labour I am currently involved in and guide me into the right labour that will produce the blessing in my life in Jesus’ name. Amen!
