Un-Failing Our Way Into God’s Unlimited Goodness

DAY 1 OF 7

Failure Is Part of Life

The world tells us that success and failure are distinct, laying on two separate ends of a field. They are not. They are two sides of the same coin, and you can’t have one without the other. Most importantly, failure is not the end. Often, it is just the beginning of us learning some greater lesson that propels us forward in our lives to greater things. The catch, though, is that we have to accept failure and learn from it in order for that to happen. We can’t just fail and stew in our unhappiness. We can’t pretend it didn’t happen and just charge forward.

Change and good things happen when we recognize and admit our failure and use it to approach our lives differently. We need to un-fail. It’s not easy, but keep in mind that you are not alone. You might stumble, you might lack, or you might make a decision that’s absolutely wrong and selfish at some point, but God is with you.

All things. Not some things. All things. Even the bad ones. Even the ones we cringe while remembering. Even the ones that caused us to lose that relationship or that job. As God weaves through our lives, He can take the failures and the successes and ensure they all work together for good, as long as we keep turning back to Him, recognizing our true purpose in Him, and moving forward. With God at our side, we can move past our mistakes and begin to un-fail, begin to let our experiences mold and guide us into wiser and more loving human beings.

Let’s begin shifting our perspective and seeing failure for what it is: a part of the process—a part of life, a part of success, a part of learning how to be a better human being, a part of learning what it means to truly follow Jesus.

Let’s look at our foundations for un-failing—the starting point, if you will. How do we see ourselves and our lives in light of what we’ve done and who we are? How do we start processing and putting into action this idea of un-failing when we’ve already failed, when we’ve already hit the walls, overheated our engines, and ground our gears into the dust?

We start by accepting and opening up our hearts to the possibilities of change.

Day 2

About this Plan

Un-Failing Our Way Into God’s Unlimited Goodness

No one wants to talk about failure, but we all miss the mark from time to time. Even our biblical heroes did things they shouldn’t have done. But when we mess up or our circumstances seem dire, God steps in to make things right. That’s the beauty of an unfailing God, one who is with us every step of the way.
