DAY 4 OF 7

Day 4 - Andy Meyer

Trust in God

In a world of mistrust, the Bible says that we can trust in the Lord with all our heart, for He is a good and faithful God who promises never to leave or forsake us. Deuteronomy 31:8 says, “The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."

We can trust that our Lord will always deliver us from our troubles, as He has walked through them first. Psalm 23, 46, and 91 are hymns of praise for tough times. We can pray these Psalms through whatever circumstances we might be facing. In John 16:33, Jesus says, “I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble, but take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Again, we see the greatness of our God and the fact that He has overcome any circumstance we/you may be facing.

Put your whole faith and trust in God, and according to Psalm 23, He will:

  • Give you rest.
  • Ensure you lack nothing.
  • Restore your soul and guide your path.
  • Remove all fear, even if you walk through the darkest valley.

In Psalm 46, He promises that:

  • He is our refuge and strength.
  • We will not fear.

And in Psalm 91, He promises that:

  • He is our fortress, and we will dwell in His shelter.
  • He will save me/us from any attack.

Our God is good, faithful, and true. You can trust that He will deliver you.

Prayer

Father I thank You that You are a good, faithful and true God, You are the King of kings and Lord of lords. There is no one greater or mightier than You. Father, although I walk through this dark valley, I trust that You will deliver me and correct my path as You are the lamp unto my feet and light unto my path.

You are my Shepherd and I will trust You forever and ever.

Amen.
