Courageous Prayerნიმუში

Selah Day: The Lord Watches Over You
The last psalm we will finish on is Psalm 121, an incredible psalm to finish this courageous prayer devotional.
No matter what happens here on earth, our trust and confidence is in God. Just like Daniel and his friends, they knew that Yahweh was their refuge, all-powerful and trustworthy, and they prayed accordingly.
As you pray Psalm 121, we pray that you will lift your eyes to the mountains, where your help comes from, that you will know that he is the maker of heaven and earth and across all things.
We pray you know that he will guard you and guide you and he watches over you. No matter what happens, he will be with you like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fire. He will be the fourth man that walks with you through the fire (Daniel 3:25), and who leads you through the valleys (Psalm 23:4); that he will restore your soul.
We are called to be strong and courageous like Joshua, to meditate on God’s word so that we know his precepts above any accusation of the enemy or the culture around us.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.
- Joshua 1:9
Joshua was strong and courageous because he knew his God was with him. And we should be also, God is with us, he will never leave us nor forsake us and will watch over us.
Prayer for today
Lord, I thank you that courageous prayer comes from an intimate relationship with you. I thank you that you watch over us, protecting us. We are strong and courageous because you are with us.
