Throne Throng by Hyatt MooreSample
More Still Coming
As with the whole book of Revelation, the painting “Throne Throng” is symbolic. It depicts the gathering of believers in Jesus at the end of the age, with more people than can be numbered (Rev. 7:9).
That will be just the beginning. It is beyond our imagination what will follow. And what will follow will never end.
The life we knew before will have ended. And we'll find all the more that it mattered.
The books will be opened. Our names will be there, what we did recorded. Rewards will be alotted.
All this is far beyond the message of this simple painting. Rather, what's happening here is a gathering that is still taking place. While most are looking toward the radiant and distant light, some are looking back as if welcoming to the throng those who are or will be joining in.
These also are from every corner of the earth, believers born late in time, and those finally completing the number God has in mind to inhabit his new heaven and new earth.
Who knows when that will be? Only the Father does. In the meantime, we echo John's words at the very end of the Bible, “Amen, come Lord Jesus.”

About this Plan
At the Last Day, all tribes will be gathered before the throne of God. One painting cannot convey all that Revelation describes, but God's generous inclusion is a major part of it. Each devotional will focus on an aspect of the Last Day.
