Matthew's Message: Seven Nuggetsნიმუში

The coming kingdom
“The kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 10:7)
The kingdom of God is wherever God reigns and His rule is acknowledged. Where is that? Three answers can be given. The first is this: God has His throne in heaven. There, He is worshiped by hundreds of millions of angels who obey Him. God's kingdom is not a kingdom of this world, but a spiritual kingdom. It transcends this world.
The second aspect is this: God Himself has come to earth. Jesus, God the Son, has broken into the earth. He comes to bring the kingdom of God. Heaven has come to earth. Everything that belongs to Jesus, and everywhere Jesus exerts His influence, is the kingdom of God.
The third aspect is this: One day, the kingdom of God will encompass the whole earth. Then everything will be good. Then the devil will no longer be the ruler of this world. There will be no sickness, no death, no pain, and no tears. That's why the Lord Jesus also taught us to pray: “Your kingdom come.” That future, where the kingdom of God is not only complete in heaven but also on earth, will not come about gradually spreading across the world, and then it's done. No, it will come about through the intervention of Jesus Himself. He will return to this earth, and then the new heaven and the new earth will come.
