You Could Experience So Much More

DAY 4 OF 6

God wants to tell you something…

What words brought you—and the dream within you—down?

Many years ago I was sitting with record companies after flying to Berlin with the last of my money to present my songs to them. All I got was another disparaging response: “Nice try, but you should get a real job. Music is not for you.”

This response threw me off course again and again. It was always a struggle between what I felt deep inside, what God had placed in me—talent and His promise: "There is hope for your future,’ says the Lord.” (Jeremiah 31:17 NLT), and the words that I had just heard, "You are not enough."

But my producer was unperturbed by the negative comments, and that in turn impressed me. Again and again, he said: “Déborah, keep at it, keep at it. Then you'll see that you'll be around longer than the decision-makers at the record company. Their places won’t last forever. They could be released tomorrow, but the plan God has for you is certain.” “...The desires of the diligent are fully satisfied.” (Proverbs 13:4 NIV)

What can I say? Now, years later, it has happened exactly as my producer told me it would. If I had trusted a record company, I would have staggered and fallen. But I decided to trust my God and His Word, and was able to experience what the Proverb says: “…the root of the righteous cannot be moved.” (Proverbs 12:3 NKJV) May I remind you today that God promises you too, no matter how old you are, that "There is hope for your future,’ says the Lord.” (Jeremiah 31:17 NLT). A future that will happen regardless of the words spoken about you!

His Word is ALWAYS above ANY other word, therefore, if we trust in God, nothing will blow us away!

Yes, “…the root of the righteous cannot be moved.” (Proverbs 12:3 NKJV)

God has prepared a good future for you! Trust Him!

You are a miracle!
