Small Decision, Big Impact!

DAY 1 OF 6

This day, this week belongs to God.

I've started a new habit lately. Want to hear about it?

I have chosen to get on my knees and pray before I do anything else in the morning.

"Wow, how holy," you might think. But actually it looks different in reality. While I'm still considering whether I could go back to sleep for a moment or not, I'm already thinking about the many tasks of the day, and I want to look at my cell phone to see what's new there. I have to make quick decisions in this half-awake state. And I want to choose the best thing.

I roll to the edge of the bed, literally let myself fall and land right on my knees. There's no better way to fall than to land on your knees!

This moment has become so important to me.

Before I get up, I want to see the One standing in front of me.

Before I go, I want to remember the One who goes before me.

Before I succeed, I want to thank the One who has triumphed for me.

Before I worry, I want to be with the One who cares for me.

Before I feel lonely, I want to remember the One who is always with me.

Before I get up, I want to consciously make myself small, to remind me of my great God!

From the bottom of my heart I pray: “Heavenly Father, as You would look over the world today, I pray that seeing me would bring You joy.”

This has become a valuable habit for me, reminding me daily of the truth found in the Book of Nehemiah: “This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10 NIV)

You don't have to be sad! This day belongs to our Great God, and He is pleased when we enjoy being with Him!

You are a miracle!
