Proverbs 31 Warriors

DAY 2 OF 3

A Warrior Under the Command of the Lord of Hosts

A woman of valour who can find? For her price is far above rubies.
Proverbs 31:10 (JPS)

In response to the One who disarmed principalities and powers for her and gave her authority over them (Colossians 2:15), a Proverbs 31 woman enlists as a soldier for Christ, taking orders from Him and living under His covering. As we mature in the understanding of the finished works of Jesus and the consequences of losing our spiritual covering, we will subjugate the fear of man and become a force to reckon with in the spiritual and physical realms.

The consciousness of Jesus as a husband who is the Lord of Hosts or the God of angel armies in command of our lives and the One who protects those on His side (Isaiah 54:5; Joshua 5:13-15; Romans 8:31) empowers Proverbs 31 warriors to make daring and unpopular decisions. The book of instructions approved by our Commander, the Holy Bible, must be the final authority in our marital decisions, parenting choices, and other aspects of life. It doesn’t matter how hard or foolish it seems to the natural mind; we must choose obedience consistently. It does not matter what strangers, acquaintances or loved ones think about a matter; Proverbs 31 warriors live to please the Lord of Hosts.

You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. 2 Timothy 2:3-4 (NKJV)

Reflect: Consistently reflect on your parenting, marriage, financial decisions and so on, and ask the Holy Spirit to help you see if your practices or choices are driven by the fear of God or the fear of man.

Be free from the fear of man! In the name of Jesus, be free from people pleasing and live to please God!

Renew Your Mind: Meditate on Isaiah 54:5 by personalizing and confessing it at least 99 times throughout the day. Also pray in the Spirit while holding that Bible verse in mind.
