Righteousness by GraceSample
What Is the Price of God’s Righteousness?
It says in Ephesians 2:8-9
‘For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.’
Do you know what the definition of a gift is?
It’s a present.
Something is given.
It costs nothing.
It’s free.
That is the price of righteousness for you. But you don’t have to pay this price yourself, Jesus bought it with a price.
For there was a great price to pay for our sin. Something that we as people couldn’t pay and our sin would end in death. But Jesus paid this price to make our salvation, eternal life and the righteousness of God possible for us.
What a loving God! That He sent His only begotten Son to the earth to redeem us!
And you know what is an added bonus?
When we realize that we are justified by God’s righteousness, and when we realize that it is granted based on grace through faith, without works, then we get free from religion. We are free from the keeping of rules and free from the mindset that we have to do something to earn it.
I promise you!
