A Fresh PerspectiveSample
Are you feeling overwhelmed?
There's a lot going on in my life right now!
A young woman just died from the effects of anorexia, and it is also a daily struggle for other people I walk alongside of. There are gigs ahead of me that I need to prepare for, and many miles to drive.
Every day I receive calls for help, interview requests and so many more emails. Oh yes, and then there are the miracles—which I love to write—that also take time. And the household and the laundry.
That's an unbelievable amount for me, and I can imagine your life, is also very full and it can quickly make you feel overwhelmed.
One thing is so important:
No matter how busy you are, you need to know where your source of strength is!
Imagine you're sitting at the kitchen table and you’re very thirsty, but you don't get up for a glass of water because you’re too tired. The solution is so close and you would definitely feel better if you did what needed to be done.
The source of your strength is also within your reach!
Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28 NIV)
If you do, I guarantee you will have a fresh perspective on your life! This "I will give you rest" is true, and it looks different for everyone. In my case, Jesus gifts me with this truth: "Déborah, it's not you who has to do something for these people. I am the Healer. I am the Comforter."
Sometimes He also says, "Cancel this appointment," or, "Go in spite of weariness and I will give you the strength." As for miracle texts, He gives them to me...while I spend time with Him!
Never act on your own strength, or you will miss the opportunity of His strength and rest!
Come to Him now and let Him change your perspective by praying:
"I love you, Lord! You are my strength!" (Psalm 18:2 HfA)
You are a miracle!
Déborah
