Dream Bigger

My father is one of the modern-day fathers of our faith. He has accomplished so much in his lifetime. The worldwide Dream Center Movement was a dream that God planted in his heart back in the 1990’s. That dream has dramatically impacted our world. To me, he’s bigger than life! Yet, I am amazed to hear him talk about his journey. Whenever people ask him, “Tommy Barnett, what would you do differently if you could do it all over again?” He says, “I’d dream bigger! I’d take bigger risks. Because anything I’ve ever dreamed for has come to pass. I should have dreamed bigger!”

I want to personally challenge you to believe that God has a grander dream for your life than you’ve ever known. A God-sized dream will pull you forward! It will give you a reason to jump out of bed in the morning. It will bring purpose to your days.

In his book, Dare to Dream, John Maxwell writes: “Daring dreams can be great things. Daring dreams have changed the world. Galileo had daring dreams to see the planets and developed the first telescope. Lindbergh had a daring dream and flew solo across the Atlantic Ocean. Ford had a daring dream, so did Ray Kroc, John F. Kennedy, and Martin Luther King, Jr. Daring dreams change the world. But there is a difference between a daring dream and a mere daydream. One fires you up and moves you forward. The other is nothing more than wishful thinking. Daring dreams are worth dying on the hill to take them. Daydreams do little more than make you want to take a nap.”

Our great God is the giver of dreams and He has a God-sized dream that is tailor made just for you.

1 Corinthians 2:9 tells us, "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him."

God loves you so much that he has a dream prepared for you that will blow your mind if you will simply take hold of it!

A Swedish Diplomat named, Dag Hammarskjold, once said, “Never measure the height of a mountain until you have reached the top. Then you will see how low it was.”
