Don't Give Up!

DAY 4 OF 7

Intervene in time

"Déborah, I have such great ideas about how we can spread your music even further. You could make T-shirts and oh, I have sooo many ideas. Let's meet very soon." The man on the phone, who was still unknown to me, was very excited.

Basically, I love such enthusiasm! But he also told me he had been in the hospital for a long time and had experienced several strokes. That made me sit up and take notice! How often we overlook—in our busy lives of doing, maybe even "zeal for God”—that we actually need rest, even help.

Because people are more important to me than success, and because I know by now that God can open doors even though I don’t have everything lined up, I turned the offer down. To protect him from himself.

Everyone has that responsibility in their life, and sometimes you need to protect yourself from yourself early on. Stress is often also a longing of your heart for more time with God.

"Don’t worry about anything. No matter what happens, tell God about everything. Ask and pray, and give thanks to him. Then God’s peace will watch over your hearts and your minds. He will do this because you belong to Christ Jesus. God’s peace can never be completely understood." (Philippians 4:6-7 NIRV)

As I write "A Miracle Every Day" for you, I notice the light on my computer getting dimmer. I've been there before. At some point the light abruptly goes out and I can no longer work. Do I wait until that time comes? No, I call my computer expert right away before it's too late.

When you notice you are getting weaker, tired, don't know what to do, call your life expert, your Father in Heaven, right away. Pull yourself back to God so you can move forward again in His strength! Because YOU are worth it!

You are a miracle!
