An Introduction

Where are you, right now, in the broad journey of your life? Like, the big picture? And all of us are on our way somewhere. We're on a path, we're moving in the direction…somewhere! So, where are you going? Maybe you're young, and you're still trying to figure out what you even want to do with your life. Maybe you've lived long enough, and you have regrets and where they've actually ended up taking you. At some point in time, all of us experience unexpected—maybe a disappointment and the goals that you just put before you, you realize, “This is just not happening.” You end up depleted and empty instead, and maybe even, you've given up on all those things. This is some rock-solid truth that you can count on 100%.

The Bible says in Proverbs 14…

“There is a path that appears to be right to a man. But in the end, it leads to death.”

Friend, if you've ventured down some hopeful path only to find yourself wondering, “What happened?!”...I want you to know—you are not alone. It has happened to me repetitively, actually, in my life. I tried so many false paths, with the desire, basically, to just be happy. And it wasn't a bad desire. It just… I was using the wrong means, I guess you could say, to try to fulfill that search for happiness, and fulfillment.

And then, taking the first step towards admitting that your dream of a good life…it just didn't work out—that can be very terrifying. I know! But, I believe it's also a wonderful opportunity. It's a chance! You have a chance right now, to start again, and it's never too late.

And the Word of God, the Bible—this is going to be our guide in this journey, pointing out the paths that lead ultimately to death and revealing that there is another way to live. There is a path that leads to genuine life—God's path. You can turn to Him. If you need help, ask Him for help and let Him establish a new way forward for you in your life.

It is not too late. It will only cost you the things that are already destroying your life. You can choose God's path from any point on the map of your life. God wants to rescue you from trouble and deliver you right, exactly to where you belong.

Will you dare, today, to humble yourself? Step off of that well-worn path that you're on, today, and join in on this journey toward becoming fully alive.
