Real Hope: Faithful GodSample
Comfort To Hope
The world is in constant flux. Every day, the weather is different. My children grow and change. Every morning, my diary looks different (even if only slightly). World events shift. Economies boom and struggle. Leaders make decisions and change them again. Diseases mutate and adapt. People come into our lives and go again. Jobs begin and change and end.
It seems like there is no constant in this life – but one. God.
What does it mean to you that God is faithful?
For me, it’s the fact that God does not change; His character remains the same; His commitment to His people remains true; His plans for His creation are unchanged, which is a huge comfort to me. It’s like a silent friend who walks with me wherever I go.
But I wonder what it would do if I flipped this thinking, and instead of this incredible truth being my silent friend, it became my first thought each day. If I began today by being reminded of God’s character and faithful love for us, how would it focus my vision? How would it shape my conversations? How would it lift my heart? How would it cause me to anticipate with hope all that God might do on that day?
God IS faithful, and that IS comforting. But this is also a promise of future character and future love. It is assured, and that can level up my comfort to hope.

About this Plan
Faithful: loyal, steadfast, true to the facts. These are some of the words used to define ‘faithful.’ We all go through things from time to time – so call on Him! He isn’t going anywhere. The Scriptures teach us about our Faithful God, so as you read through this Bible plan, pray for a new revelation of His faithfulness and His love for you.
