The Little Sins

DAY 2 OF 7

Are You Thinking About Him?

I sat at my desk early in the morning and thought about the night before. I had spent a really nice evening with friends! But when I analyzed my behavior and words in retrospect, down to the last detail, I was disappointed in myself. I realized I had said some things that were out of place and needn’t have been said.

Now this may not sound like a big sin to you, but shouldn't we who know God's love pass on that love at all times?

I'd like to share with you the verse that became so important to me that night: "In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:6 NIV)

Think of Him at every step! If we could actually do that, then we could also stop ourselves from saying some inappropriate, unnecessary, or hurtful things.

Think of Him at every step! Then we would realize in time that it would be better to put our arm around our spouse or friend instead of picking on them.

Think of Him at every step! Then it would be harder for us to watch movies that are not good for us because we would realize they are not pleasing to God either.

Think of Him at every step! Then we would think twice if we really want to buy that overpriced item. Hey, maybe God will even provide it for you at half the price!

Think of Him at every step! Then maybe we would also offer our help more often in our own church/community instead of always talking about what we don't like there.

If you think of Him — Jesus — you will experience how He directs your success!

I want to encourage you to do that intentionally today. Think about Jesus every step of the way!

I am excited to hear what you will experience as a result!

You are a miracle!

About this Plan

The Little Sins

Do you ever wonder whether the little sins matter? To God, they do. But none of us are without guilt - we all fall into temptation, big and small. God, as our Father, wants to help us learn how to avoid these pitfalls and find freedom in Him.
