Ultimate Surrender: Trading It All in for Something Better

DAY 4 OF 4

Morning in the Studio

Yes, you know these steps, this song. I’ve taught you each move. Now, speak the lyrics to me. Let’s translate this music I’ve given your heart.

First, be bold in trusting the talents I’ve given you, how I’ve made you to love other people, and bring joy and hope to this world. To do this, you must stay with me. Respond to the rhythm I set, each step. Embrace how you’re uniquely made to live. Stand and do what I’ve gifted you to be able to do.

When you do this, I have more for you. I conquer fear in you so you can trust me when there is a new move or step. You love to dance, but it is not just dancing now, is it? Doing what you’re made to do represents freedom, joy, and hope. I know you want to say yes to what I have written on your heart.

I have freedom for you—rejecting a life of anxiety or fear of regret. Keep your eyes on me; you can see me. With me, you can do the things you are made to do.

I have joy for you—living in my love for you while pursuing the passions I’ve given you. Joy is a surrendered heart that leads and loves. I shine light, you know, in the dark.

I have hope for you—living all-out for the future that is to come. It is knowing heaven is here, within you, for I am in you. Hope is knowing there is no separation between us, so you are unafraid to take risks. You see heaven in your heart, and you want more. You know I’m coming, daughter.

This is the life I’ve given you. No other. Come on now. Look to me. Listen to your heart. Take the steps I put in front of you. Go beyond where you know I am but you can’t see. Yes, this is dancing. And so much more.

Go, daughter. I am with you!

Dance!

Leap!

Love!

Bend!

Know!

Be!

Become!

Sway!

Bow!

Go!

Exercise & Prayer

Think of a piece of artwork you love—a painting hanging in your house or found on the Internet. Or think of your very favorite color, the color that you feel best represents you— your beauty, your heart, the things you most love to do. Now, close your eyes. Imagine yourself, first, in an empty white space . . . and then imagine the painting or the color comes down behind you, like a backdrop in the scene of a play.

See yourself walking into that painting or backdrop of color now. Step into it and explore. What is it you love most about being there? What are you drawn to? Is it the scenery, the activity, the people around you, the wide-open space? Stay there for a few minutes, exploring and remembering . . . What is it that makes you feel most beautiful and free? Are you experiencing freedom now?

Father, you have made me—so perfectly, so beautifully—just as you intended. You don’t make mistakes. I want to believe that is true; I want to live in the confidence of knowing who I am in you. I give you the lie that I am not beautiful. I surrender my fear of messing up and of not being perfect. I am not perfect and that is okay. I believe you love me, you love to be with me, you are here, and I am made to live this life moving with you, completely free. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

We hope this Plan encouraged you! Read the complete conversations with God—and engage more deeply with His heart.
