Walking in the Consciousness of God’s Presence

DAY 3 OF 3

Walking in the Consciousness of God’s Presence - Conclusion

What you are conscious of is what is available to you. You must know that you carry the presence of God. You need to come to the revelation that you have the presence of God. To round off this series, here's a brief recap on how to walk in the consciousness of God’s presence:

  • Keep in your Consciousness what Christ has done for You- (Commit it to Memory)

To commit it to memory, you must write it down. Take notes (the faintest pen is better and stronger than the sharpest memory) and go back to your notes, then reread and meditate on them. Once you know it, you can't ‘unknow’ it.

Avoid sin consciousness and embrace self-consciousness. You need to be conscious of who you are in Christ and the presence of God. To walk in this, you will need to have the ‘son consciousness’ whereby you stay in the revelation of Jesus, the gospel, and Salvation. You need to understand that Christ has finished the work on the Cross and given you an inheritance. You have to be conscious of the fact that you are a Son of God, and once you do this, you will begin to sense another dimension of God's presence in your life.

‘‘It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone. It’s in Christ that you, once you heard the truth and believed it (this Message of your salvation), found yourselves home free—signed, sealed, and delivered by the Holy Spirit. This down payment from God is the first installment on what’s coming, a reminder that we’ll get everything God has planned for us, a praising and glorious life…’’- Ephesians 1:11-14 MSG

In the above text, if we consider the terms ‘signed, sealed, and delivered’, we will come to the understanding that all Christ has done is a finished work and HE said himself that it is finished.

Grace abounds towards us which makes us understand that we always have ‘sufficiency’ in all things. This ‘sufficiency’ implies that through grace we have all that Christ has done for us on the Cross.

  • Memorize it/Vocalize it

Start using what is in your memory. Say it, declare it by saying it all the time. As you commit it to memory, let it be ingrained in your consciousness - stay declaring the goodness of God over your life.

  • Pray in the Spirit

Build up your consciousness by praying in the Holy Spirit. Take the presence of God to your workplace, take it to school, and take it everywhere you go.

"But you, dear friends, carefully build yourselves up in this most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit, staying right at the center of God’s love, keeping your arms open and outstretched, ready for the mercy of our Master, Jesus Christ. This is the unending life, the real life!" Jude 1:20 MSG

Pray in the Holy Spirit always. When you do so, you commune with God. As Christ dwells in you, praying in tongues means that you are being charged up, you are heightening the consciousness of who you are in Christ Jesus.

The presence of God is a consciousness you must continually and intentionally walk in. This consciousness will fix your behavior and your lifestyle.

Day 2

About this Plan

Walking in the Consciousness of God’s Presence

As a beloved child of God, you already have the presence of God, because you are in Christ and His Spirit is in you, but you have to walk in this consciousness. This plan sheds more light on how to walk in the reality and consciousness of this presence.
