21 Days Prayer & Fasting "Alive in Calling"

DAY 17 OF 21

WHAT I SAY, WHAT I DO

Has anyone ever promised you something but, in the end, they forgot their promise? How did you feel at that time? Surely, it was disappointment and sadness towards that person. When you first meet someone you've just gotten to know, your first impression of that person is often based on their words, actions, or behavior. Thus, you can judge momentarily whether that person is good, pretending to be good (hypocritical) or evil.

Words and actions are always interconnected. When you work, it becomes a top priority. You say "yes" to your boss to take on the task they've assigned, and automatically, you become responsible for it. The words that come from our mouths should also align with our actions. In our words, we may actually be afraid of disappointing others, or it may happen that halfway through, we suddenly feel incapable of doing what we've said.

All of this can be avoided from the beginning by:

First, praying for God's guidance, wisdom, strength, and direction in how we speak and act so that, in the end, everything aligns with His will. When we experience fear, fatigue, and despair, we believe that God will strengthen us when we pray for His help (Matthew 11:28).

Second, giving thanks to God every day because of His love; we can do all things with the abilities He has given us (1 Thessalonians 5:18). By giving thanks, we can perform every action or deed with a sense of responsibility and confidence because God is present in every word and action of ours.

Do you always put Jesus first in every action and word of yours? Can you be responsible for what you say?

PRAYER
Lord, please empower us so that through every action of ours, others can see and feel that we always rely on You, and others are also blessed through our lives. Give us wisdom so that we may have a wise heart. In the name of the Lord Jesus, we pray, Amen.
