Don't postpone love.
Is there anyone in your life who is difficult to love? We all have people who irritate us, who hurt our feelings and won’t apologize—maybe even people who are downright cruel to us. And God asks us…to love them?!
There’s a Bible verse that helps so much, though—Romans 5:8—and it says,
...God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us even while we were still sinners.
What a humbling thought. Jesus didn’t wait until we were good, obedient people before He sacrificed Himself to save us. He went to the cross BECAUSE He knew we needed grace.
As hard as it seems, with God’s help, you can love even the most difficult person in your life. You don’t need to wait for them to change. And God loves you no matter what’s going on in your life. Will you receive His love today? Will you give it?
