Today’s chapter is Jude, and today’s verse of the day is verse 3: "Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt compelled to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to God's holy people."

In these few words, we find a profound call to action that resonates through the ages.

The term "contend" carries a sense of urgency. It implies a vigorous and unwavering struggle, not against flesh and blood, but against the forces that seek to undermine our faith. We are called to be defenders of the faith, to stand firm and unwavering in our belief in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

But why is it so essential for us to contend for the faith? The answer lies in the precious nature of the faith we hold. Our faith is not a mere human invention; it is a divine gift entrusted to us by God Himself.
