Why Worship When You Are Hurt

DAY 5 OF 6

When you have unanswered questions, worship God.

Indeed, it's true that during times of pain and suffering, you may find yourself with many unanswered questions. You patiently wait, but the answers seem elusive. When problems are pressing down from all sides, there are often people who offer suggestions like 'if,' 'but,' or 'how' in an attempt to guide you. While some genuinely express their concerns, their assistance can only take you so far.

Remember that you are a child of God, and know that He is in control. He created you, sustains you, and watches over you. Turn to God's promises, to what He has told you and assured you. Wait for God's promises and His purposes for your life to unfold.

David questioned God, but he didn't linger in doubt. He believed that God would fulfill his heart's desires, provide for his needs, and come to his rescue. He knew that God had never left his side. How did he gain such confidence in the midst of pain, suffering, and hurt? It was through true worship!

Job expressed a similar sentiment in different words when he said, "He carries out his decree against me, and many such plans he still has in store." (Job 23:14)

As you start to worship God when you have unanswered questions, you will come to understand the incredible Power of God's promises.

In 2 Corinthians 1:20 it reminds us, "For no matter how many promises God has made, they are 'Yes' in Christ. And so through him, the 'Amen' is spoken by us to the glory of God."

Prayer

Dear God, I know You know my name, my prayers, and my thoughts, and I trust that You will guide me always. I love you, Lord. Amen.

Why Worship When You Are Hurt

In times of difficulty and uncertainty, we often find ourselves questioning and praying for answers. This passage reminds us that even the great Psalmist David faced similar moments but consistently chose to worship God. This powerful reminder encourages us not to lose heart in challenging times but rather to turn to God in worship. Read and be blessed.
