Understanding the Power of the Communion Tableნიმუში

UNDERSTANDING THE COMMUNION AS A WEAPON OF WAR (1)
There are some things you should understand as you approach the Communion table:
1. The Shadow: The Passover meal that the children of Israel had before they left Egypt and which released the final lash on Pharaoh (Exo. 12) was a shadow of the Communion in the New Testament.
The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 11:23-24, “For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.” This shows that bread must be broken and eaten.
In the earlier years of my ministry, I encountered some very strange situations. I was preaching one day and the Holy Spirit revealed to me that two women in the congregation were possessed of the devil. So, I told the Church that we were going to break bread together and that every existing covenant that any of them had with the devil would be broken. We prayed and shared the Communion. However, I noticed that the two women did not partake, and I knew they were the two that the Lord revealed to me. Those women understood that the Communion would become fire in their system if they had a spiritual position that was against Christ, so they didn’t take it.
I didn’t know then that we had a major weapon of warfare in our hands. If there is a Holy Ghost weapon of mass destruction, it is the Holy Communion.
PRAYER: Dear Holy Spirit, help me to be more conscious of the power that is available to me through the Holy Communion, and help me to enjoy it, in Jesus' name. Amen!
