God's Redemption Story (Genesis)Sample
Waiting does not come naturally to humans. We like answers and control—at the very least, we like to know how long we must wait. When a restaurant gives us an estimated wait time, we decide whether to stick around. But most of life doesn’t give us a choice.
Joseph waited in prison for two years, hoping he wouldn’t be forgotten. Yet, in the waiting, he did not lose sight of God and His sovereignty. When he finally was pulled from prison and stood before the pharaoh, he didn’t hesitate to give glory to God.
When God asks us to wait, do we do it in a way that honors God? Are we ready to glorify God when the waiting is over? Whatever you are waiting for—answers, healing, reconciliation, a family, a job, or joy—rest in the fact that God has not forgotten you, just like he didn’t forget Joseph. God sees us in our waiting.
