Now What? | Exploring Real Stories of People Who Were Scared, Stuck, and Uncertainნიმუში

Day 5: Seek Wisdom from Others
Where do you turn when you’re presented with a situation you’ve never encountered before? We were never meant to walk through this world alone. When facing problems you’ve never faced before, take heart that there’s likely someone else who has faced them. Seek wisdom from godly people, people you trust, people who desire to fully follow God and will help you to do the same.
Here is Esther, daughter to Jewish parents in captivity, the same we read about with Ezra and Nehemiah. During this time, Haman, right-hand man to the king, proposes a horrifying plan to kill all the Jews.
Esther and her servants fast and pray, and she asks her cousin Mordecai and all the Jews in Susa to do the same. Mordecai has shared his wisdom with her, and now she will seek wisdom from God.
Prayer and reading God’s word is never wrong. But to seek wisdom from other people who love God is helpful too. If nothing else, you’ll get another person in your corner, praying for you.
Prayer: God, help me to build relationships. Sometimes that’s hard, and I don’t know where to start. Bring people into my life who will help me fully follow You, and help me to be that for someone else, too. Amen.
