I can remember at a young age I always wanted to own a house and at the time I had very little knowledge about the process. When I started looking for a home I was new on the job and I was hired PRN. Which meant I only work as needed so that limited the amount I got pre-approved for and the homes were not in the safest neighborhood. I could remember crying because I wasn’t getting approved for the amount that I wanted to be in a decent neighborhood. There were times when people would outbid me and there were times when I wasn’t interested in the homes that I saw. After 3 months of being on the job I was promoted to a full-time position. After thanking God for the promotion I called my realtor and she was very happy for me. She was there when I couldn’t afford a house and she was there when I closed on my home. She never gave up on me. I went from being approved for less than 100k to being approved for over 200k. Even with enough money now, I still had trouble finding the right home. But one day my realtor saw the right home for me. After seeing the home I was speechless and I can remember saying yes, this is the one. At the time I didn’t have a lot but God provided grants for me and at closing I didn’t have to bring much. The word says that God is an on-time God, He’s not on our time and His will shall be done.

Words of encouragement: Sometimes in life you may not get everything on the first try, but you shouldn’t give up. Instead, learn from the lesson so you can be prepared for the future.
