I Am Here

Precious one, there is no need to look to the left or the right. Don’t get caught up in looking ahead or behind. But look only to me. I am your hiding place. I am the safety of love over your life, and I am the treasured secret place where you pour out creativity before my throne. I am the God of all creation, and my creativity is planted within you for such a time as this. I am the poet, and you are my magnificent work of poetry. I am the artist, and you are the sweet painting made by my creative hand. I am the potter, and you are the beautifully pliable clay. Trust that I will reveal what you need to know. I guide you with my eye.

I am teaching you grace. Not just an outward display of it but an inward disposition. In moments of need and in those when you can’t see what lies ahead, I am here. I am teaching you the peace-filled calmness of grace. Don’t look anxiously around you, struggling to see and be all things to all people. Trust me; this is the only way to be in the right place at the right time with the right attitude. Be confident in what I’m telling you. I am God. Be confident in my love for you. I am your great reward. Come and receive my grace.

Oh Jesus, I want to look like you, inside and out. Would you give me the strength to receive your grace and the faith to stand in hope?
