Strong as a Motherნიმუში

Truth is kind of a strange thing these days. There is a notion that holding on to “truth” closes us off to possibilities and even greater understanding. Sister, there is no gentle way around it. That is a tactic of The Deceiver. Don’t believe the lie that there are no total truths. Why would the Enemy try to get you to believe that truth is situational? Because there is great confidence in God’s truth about your life. If you begin to believe that truth is only sometimes true then you will begin to believe that what God has said about you is sometimes untrue. Zap! There goes your confidence.
In today’s scripture, John says that it brings him great joy -- gladness, cheerfulness, delight -- to have children who walk in truth. When John refers to children he is talking about the people he leads. Whether you are thinking about how you lead yourself or how you lead others, lean into truth today.
Let’s Pray
Creator of all, God of truth - I rejoice in Your truth today. Where have I accepted a lie? I ask You to reveal Your truth to me. Help me to hold on to truth and walk in its way. Amen
