Four Steps to Model Christ at Work

DAY 3 OF 4

Four Steps to Model Christ at Work: Step Three

A Gospel Coalition article by Miranda Carls provides four steps to improve your experience at work and to represent Christ more fully. The third step in this series is to engage in fellowship.

Having a group you can turn to for accountability, encouragement, and even ideas on how to better model your faith at work, is invaluable. Finding a trusted group may also help you through challenging times and sharpen your knowledge and skills.

The early church understood the need for fellowship. Acts 2:42 says, “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”

Seek fellowship, such as within your church or your workplace. Doing so will strengthen and encourage your witness at work and make the time more fun.

Questions for Reflection

  • Do you have any strong Christian friends or acquaintances? If you do not, do you know where you might find some? Does your church offer any Bible studies or care groups you could attend?
  • What is the difference between a strong Christian friend and a friend who is a Christian? Are your friends truly edifying you, or do they encourage bad habits?

So many of our waking hours are consumed by work. This can eventually give us a distorted view of life, making work problems bigger than they need to be. In this series, we explore four different steps that we can take to model Christ at work in the times we live in. Dive into this reflection with the author of Integrity Moments and CEO of Unconventional Business Network, Rick Boxx.
