You Are Not Aloneნიმუში

Devotional: Initially, 1 Peter 5:8 might sound dramatic or frightening. But the reality is that Satan wants us to be ineffective Christians, and he tells us believable, truth-laced lies to try to make that happen. When we believe his lies instead of the truth of God’s Word, we typically aren’t very effective—which is why it’s so important to know the truth and dwell on it.
Prayer: Dear God, Satan’s power can feel so strong sometimes; but I know that You’re in control. Help me grasp how intense the battle for my mind is and help me fight the devil’s lies with Your truth.

About this Plan

Grace has been on a journey to find recovery from her eating disorder she struggled with called “anorexia nervosa.” There have been various passages of Scripture that have encouraged her, and 1 Peter 5 is one of them. Not only does this chapter encompass deep theological truths that are foundational for believers to understand, but it also has the power to encourage believers who are facing intense trials and temptations.
