Cultivating a life together
In the last 7 years of my life, I struggled with the concept of “home.” I felt as though a home was a tangible place where I would feel most alive and find contentment. God knew I longed for security and a sense of home and He provided that through my relationship with Him. He then personified His love for me through the love I felt in my relationships with family, friends, and my sweet beloved.
God beautifully created the world we live in, with all its complexities and nuances. At times, our feelings and perception of those complexities and how things should be is not right. But when we ask God, He always provides us with the right perspective as He fulfills our every need.
My fiancé knew my longing for Home and graciously loved me through my pursuit of that in Christ. As my fiancé and I started to cultivate a life together, we identified different needs, desires, and dreams we had for our life together. Since my fiancé and I were long distance for some time, we truly did not know what it was like to be together after so long. We took some time when he returned home from Japan to get to know each other more. We spent the weekends engaging in conversations about our past, present and future; our hopes, dreams and desire.
We knew we wanted to build our life in Christ and having a foundation in Him together was the first step. Cultivating a life together in Christ for the last five months has been a beautiful process that I pray you will also experience and commit to.
Thank you for journeying with me once again. May your Esther season be full of His grace as you learn what it means to be in transition – to be in the middle of excitement, anticipation, and preparation. May His Spirit lead you in all righteousness as you draw deeper. I pray as you journey to covenant that Christ refines you and draws you closer to Him.

About this Plan
An Esther season gifts us time and space to develop and become the person Christ wants us to be before taking marriage vows. As our hearts bubble with joyful gratitude because we’ve found the one whom our soul loves, our minds and hands race toward the day when we make that covenant commitment. Seek God and be refined by his grace as we prepare for all that is to come.
