The Greatest Helper, the Holy Spirit Guides, Strengthens and Comforts Believersნიმუში

The Holy Spirit convicts and renews people.
“And when He comes, He will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment.” (John 16:8)
When the Holy Spirit was poured out powerfully at Pentecost, this had an effect not only on the disciples, but also on the people who heard their testimony. Some three thousand people were so touched in their hearts that they believed the good news about Jesus Christ, repented, and were baptized. In the days that followed, even more people joined them. This was clearly the work of the Holy Spirit because before these same people had actually rejected Jesus. Peter doesn't mince words about this: “Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves know, this Jesus … you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men” (Acts 2:22-23). Jesus' miracles had not convinced the people. His words they did not believe. But now that He had risen and sent His Spirit, they finally saw the truth. And that radically changed their lives.
This same Holy Spirit is still at work today. He convinces people of the truth and brings them to Jesus. Do you see examples of this around you—perhaps in your own life? How does this become visible?
