Qualifying for God's Anointing

DAY 9 OF 31

GOD ANOINTS SUBMISSION (2)

We started looking at submission yesterday as another major thing that God anoints. We differentiated between agreement and submission and concluded that submission carries more weight in the spirit. The point of submission to the will of the Father is the point where you qualify for the anointing.

The battle to save the human race was won in the Garden of Gethsemane when Jesus submitted His will to the Father. It was a major and determining battle for the human race. He prayed to the Father three times, “Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me…(Mat. 26:39)” and on the three occasions added “…not as I will, but as thou wilt.” That was where the devil was defeated totally.

Jesus was God but made Himself of no reputation and took on the form of a servant. He humbled Himself on the cross and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross (Phi. 2:5-9). He could have decided otherwise but He submitted to the will of the Father. This was where He qualified for the glory in Philippians 2 verse 9.

The final victory you will gain over the devil is the victory of submitting your will to the will of God. That is why the cross is the place where the devil is totally defeated. The cross is that place in your life where the will of God crosses your will. When that happens to you, what will be your response? Your response must be like that of Jesus and let the will of the Father prevail over yours.

PRAYER: Father, help me to submit my will to Your will whenever the occasion demands. Amen!
