Game Changer #5: God Is Always Present

When you are new to Christianity, God gives you a lot of confirming emotions and often answers the most immature, self-centered prayers so that you’ll know that he exists.

But as you grow in maturity from a “baby Christian” to a tenured Christian, God will wean you off these dependencies.

God’s omnipresence and the manifestation of His presence are two different things. One is a fact; the other is often a feeling. God is ALWAYS present, even when you may be unaware of Him, and His presence is too profound to be measured by mere emotion.

Yes, He wants you to sense His presence, but He’s more concerned that you trust Him than whether or not you feel Him. Faith, not feelings, pleases God.

The situations that will stretch your faith the most will be those times when life falls apart, and God is nowhere to be found.

This happened to Job. On a single day, Job lost everything.

His family.

His business.

His health.

All of his belongings.

And for 37 chapters, God said nothing!

How do you praise God when you don’t understand what’s happening in your life, and He’s silent?

How do you stay connected in a crisis without communication?

How do you keep your eyes on Jesus when they’re full of tears?

You do what Job did.

Tell God exactly how you feel. Pour out your heart to Him, and unload every emotion that you’re feeling. Job did this. He told God that he was angry and bitter, and needed to speak with Him. He cried out when he felt that God was distant. God can handle your doubt, anger, fear, grief, confusion, and questions.

Noah changed the game by obedience!

Abraham changed the game by faith!

Joseph changed the game by integrity!

David changed the game by courage!

Peter and the disciples changed the game by standing up for God!

God might be calling you to do something today. Your impact may be simple, but it changes the whole game when played faithfully!
