Your Value Just Went Up

We have a lot of options and choices in life; fashion, vehicles, homes, etc. We can pick from brand name to knock-off items, to second-hand items, and even items we rigged together. Each one holds a different value. The value is determined by how much you’re willing to pay for it. Most valuable things are not picked randomly. You take time to pick them. You study them, do your research, watch the market, Google it, and possibly ask others. All of this is done so you can get the best.

Where God is concerned, He does not operate in mediocrity. He doesn’t want a knock-off or an imitation. He only chooses the best. He chose you as His own and He knew how much it would cost to purchase you. You were purchased with the precious blood of Jesus.

There are many reasons God could have chosen you to be His. It could be that you are intuitive and intelligent. It could be because you are kind. It could be because you are assertive. But the truth is, He simply loves you as you are and there’s nothing you can do to earn His love. He created you in His image. He fashioned you together in your mother’s womb. So, if He did all of that, why wouldn’t He choose you?

Be aware that the enemy will try to answer that question. He will try to make you believe that you are not good enough or valuable or even needed. He will try to make you believe that God can’t use you because of your past. He will try to make you believe that God did not choose you and that someone of your history or background can’t belong to God. DON’T BELIEVE THE LIES OF THE ENEMY. He only comes to steal, kill, and destroy but don’t lose heart, Jesus came to give you a rich and satisfying life.

You are valuable to God. He calls you His special possession and you belong to Him. You are his treasure, and it gives Him great pleasure to choose you. You are a part of His family and since He’s the King, that makes you royalty.

Reflection Question: What do you have to be set free from to realize how valuable you are to God?

Thank you, God, for choosing me to be a part of your family. You calculated the cost and paid the price just for me.
