Seeking God

DAY 27 OF 48

Do you live an always-on-the-go, hectic lifestyle? My days sure can be this way! I have seven people (spouse included) to spiritually pour into, provide nutritious meals for, engage in meaningful conversations with, and nurse when they are injured or sick. I also have the privilege to home educate my children and serve people in Christ's name in my church and community. And how could I forget managing a home that requires repairs and cleaning! Oh, and then there's the ever-present dirty laundry!

Yes, it's a wonderful, yet often physically draining life. Regardless of our lifestyles, we all need recharging. Real rest isn't found in a little 'me time' in front of the TV or computer. More than anything else, we need a quiet place to be still and reflect on the God who made and gave us life. Do you find it hard to spend extended time in prayer? If so, why? Is it because you think you are too busy, or is it not important enough to fit into your plans?

Knowing and following Jesus Christ should be our number one priority! Decide to put into practice a time of still, quiet listening and pursuing your Master, Savior, and Friend. Give your whole self (spirit, soul, and body) to knowing and loving your wonderful Savior.
