Gratitude That Glorifies GodSample
Church
In America, it seems that being ungrateful for your church can be a lot easier than ever imagined. “I didn’t like that message. They didn’t play my favorite worship song. It’s too cold in here today. Someone sat in my seat. Why don’t they add the program I want? They keep nagging me to serve.” Have you ever thought any of those? Let’s be honest; we all have at some point.
Did you know in North Korea, if you are caught with a Bible, singing a hymn, or praying, you could spend up to 15 years in a labor camp?
That puts things in perspective. When you start to recognize God put a church in your city, with a community of people gathering weekly to pray, worship, and grow in your faith without repercussion or punishment, it’s easy to be grateful for your church.
Pray:Spend some time today praying for your church. Pray for the Pastors, the staff, the volunteers, and the works that God stands to do in the lives of everyone that walks through the doors.

About this Plan
It’s hard to be grateful in the comparison culture we live in. I need more influence, money, time, vacations, a bigger house, and a nicer car. Have you ever thought that? What if God has given us more than enough, and we refuse to glorify Him because we aren’t grateful for what we have? Over the next seven days, we’ll practice glorifying God through gratitude.
