One of my good mate’s from Aussie walked through a time in his life where he had lost it all, worked hard on his marriage for a decade only to find his wife had been cheating on him. Out of that, in desperation, hurt and loneliness, he had a one-night-stand with a friend who’d walked through a similar tragedy. She fell pregnant. Needless to say his life was ‘busted’. Fast forward 15 years, my mate now lives in Nashville, TN, is happily married, with two lovely kids, and is one of the most grateful characters you’ll ever meet. I reckon if you sat down to ask him, ‘how’d you bounce back’ he’d tell you something like this, ‘I found God in community.’
