Love God Greatly: Walking In Wisdom

DAY 18 OF 40

SOAP – Proverbs 22:6
Parenting can be the most difficult, but most rewarding responsibility in our lives. Our children are our gifts from God. As mothers, we demonstrate to our children the magnificence and authority of God and our need for Him. If our children see how much we need God, they will likely grow to desire Him too.

How do you demonstrate to your children through your behavior, speech, and actions that God is strong, powerful, and always in control? A child’s first view of God is usually through their parents. Since faith comes by hearing, our children must hear about the power, strength, and magnificence of God in order for them to be willing to put their trust and hope in Him.

Father God, I thank You for my children. Lord, protect them from temptation and peer pressure. Help me to continue to give them a godly worldview. Guard me from elevating my children’s success and popularity in life over the importance of their spiritual walk. Help me to experience motherhood as a joy and not as a stressful burden. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
