Alpha & Omega

DAY 12 OF 14

Observe & Interpret

1. Read: Revelation 19.1-10. Summarize this passage in your own words.

2. Who is giving praise to the Lord in this passage? Why are they praising God?

3. Who is invited to the marriage banquet of the Lamb? Who is most likely to be the “bride of Christ”? What other scripture references support these identities?

4. Read Revelation 19.11-21. Summarize this passage in your own words.

5. This passage has a very different banquet in view than the marriage banquet of the Lamb. Who is invited to this “great banquet of God”? What is on the menu?

Apply

1. Why is it difficult to live with an eternal perspective, trusting God’s people will be preserved & destined for eternal celebration? What overwhelms or shrinks down our perspective in daily life?

2. What steps can we take to live with the peace of Christ? See Philippians 4.6-7. Who can hold you accountable to entrusting God with your fears and frustrations through faith in Christ?

3. Prayerfully determine the main biblical truth or principle that God revealed to you during your study. A few questions to ask are: Is there a promise for me to claim? Is there a truth for me to believe? Is there a command for me to obey?

4. Memorize: Revelation 19.6b-7. “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the All-Powerful, reigns! Let us rejoice and exult and give him glory, because the wedding celebration of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.”

About this Plan

Alpha & Omega

The Revelation of Jesus Christ is a book about what will happen in the future; but perhaps more importantly, it’s a book about who controls the future. More than sixty years after Jesus rose from the dead, He appears once again to His disciple John to tell him about the things to come. John sees Jesus in a whole new way: He is now risen, glorified, and clearly in charge of the universe. Jesus is Lord of everyone, everywhere, forever. The question for you and me is whether we will trust Him with our lives, believing that He holds both the present and the future in His all-powerful and loving hands.
